Adaptive Aquatics: WINTER - Session #3, 2026
(January 5 through February 13th, 2026)
Where: Reiche Community Center Pool
Enter building @ the Clark Street Entrance off parking lot.
When: WINTER - Session #3 classes held once-a-week on the following days:
- Monday: (5 weeks) No Class: 1/19, Martin Luther King Day
- Tuesday: (6 weeks)
- Wednesday: (6 weeks)
- Thursday: (6 weeks)
- Friday: (6 weeks)
Times:
- STARTING times for swim slots will vary from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- ENDING times for swim slots will vary from 2:50 PM - 7:20 PM
Registration:
Registration will be determined on the participant's choice of times and availability.
- Portland Residents opens on Friday, December 5th @ 8:00 AM.
(PORTLAND RESIDENTS will have PRIORITY REGISTRATION until 11:59 PM on Thursday, December 11th, 2026.
- Portland Non-Residents opens on Friday, December 12th @ 8:00 AM.

for Adapted Aquatics - Session #3, 2026 is:
Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
- Designed for individuals with a qualified disability, the Adapted Aquatics program offers swimming skills development, personal safety training, self-help opportunities, social interaction, generalization of skills and most of all - fun!
- Our staff are trained American Red Cross instructors who hold certifications in Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Adapted Aquatics training and experience, First Aid, CPR/AED, and related aquatics training.
If a participant is new to the Adapted Aquatics Program, please contact Jane O'Conor, Recreation Inclusion Supervisor as there are required forms to be completed prior to registration.

NEW! On Mondays! Adapted Aquatics Lap Practice Program.......NEW TIME: 5:00 to 6:00 PM Participants can practice their swimming skills with routines provided by Adapted Aquatics. Coaching will be done by staff from on deck.
- Lap Practice Program participants can come between the hours of 5:00 and *6:00 PM to practice swim skills and routines.
- (We suggest that Lap Practice participants be in the pool no later than *5:30 PM as the program will end at 6:00 PM.)
- Lap Practice Program is reserved for Adapted Aquatics participants working at a more independent level of swimming skills.
Private "one-on-one" lessons:
- Are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
- Lessons are 30 minutes in length.
Semi-Private classes must be registered with the help of the Adapted Aquatics staff. Please contact them so they can schedule your time and day.
- Semi-Private classes are reserved for Adapted Aquatics participants working at a more independent level of swimming skills.
