News: Spring Play Starts Here: Nets, Tracks, and Schedules

Starting the week of March 23, if our weather continues to cooperate, our playgrounds crew will begin netting the racquet and volleyball courts. 

As a reminder, Portland’s tracks and courts are shared spaces and home courts for many of our youth programs. To ensure you don't arrive during a closed session, please check the MyRec Calendar before your visit. While the facilities are often open for public "drop-in" use, they may be closed to the public during Portland Public Schools (PPS) games, practices, or ticketed events. If a field is marked as "Booked," the track usually remains open for you, unless a ticketed event or school game is underway. 

Fitzpatrick Stadium Track: 

• “HOP Game”, "PPS Track" or "PPS Game/Meet": Facility is CLOSED to the public.
• “PPS” or "Booked": Field is in use, but the Track is OPEN for joggers.
• Empty Calendar: Facility is OPEN for all.

• “PPS” or “PPS Match” or “Booked”: Court is CLOSED to the public.
• Please note: we try to leave at least one court open at each facility, but this is not always possible at some of our smaller facilities, such as Eastern Prom or Lyman Moore.
