Join us for this new, non- instructional, family open gym program. A great opportunity for kids and parents or guardians to come together and enjoy active playtime in a safe, welcoming environment. We will provide a variety of equipment such as basketballs, soccer balls, gym mats, and more! *Parents/caregivers are required to stay for the duration of the program and are welcome to supervise or join in on the fun!Dates: Sundays (Starting November 2, 2025)Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm Ages: All ages welcomeLocation: Reiche Community Center - 166 Brackett Street, Portland Instructor: Recreation staff Present - *Non instructional program What should I bring? Are you between 13 and 17 years old and looking for a fun place to shoot hoops, play indoor soccer, or toss a football with friends? Whether you want to join a pickup game or just hang out and stay active, Teen Gym is the place to be! Drop in solo or bring some friends and enjoy a safe, friendly indoor space every Saturday afternoon at Reiche. Youth Explore Archery is open to archers of all experience levels, from brand-new beginners to returning archers and club members.This June and August, we will offer youth Explore Archery sessions designed to give each archer a fun, safe, and supportive place to shoot. Whether your child is picking up a bow for the first time or has already participated in our Introduction, Club, or Advanced programs, the certified instructors from the Maine School of Archery will meet them where they are.Beginners will learn range safety, basic shooting form, and how to build confidence with a bow. Returning archers will continue developing consistency, focus, and stronger shot execution through guided practice and coaching.These sessions are a great way to try archery, keep skills sharp over the summer, and enjoy time on the range with other young archers.Dates: August 5, 12, 19, 26Time: 5:00-6:00pmAges: 10-17Location: Reiche Community Center 166 Brackett StFee: $125 Portland Resident / $135 Non ResidentWhat to bring: Students will need to wear athletic clothing and sneakers are required. Arm guard and finger tab (optional)

Adult Explore Archery is open to all experience levels, from first-time archers to experienced shooters looking for coached practice.This June and August, we will offer adult Explore Archery sessions that are flexible, welcoming, and designed to support each archer’s individual skill level. Whether you are brand new to archery or have already taken part in our Introduction, Club, or Advanced classes, our certified instructors from the Maine School of Archery will help you continue building confidence and consistency.New archers will learn range safety, basic shooting mechanics, and how to get comfortable with the bow.
