Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow, floor-based practice that draws on ancient Indian and Taoist traditions. Postures are held for several minutes at a time, targeting the deeper connective tissues (i.e., fascia, ligaments, and joints) that faster movement practices rarely reach. Participants will learn how to work with stillness, find appropriate edge in passive postures, and use breathwork to navigate discomfort with equanimity. This practice builds joint mobility and flexibility while also training the nervous system to down-regulate and recover. Yin is particularly effective as a complement to more active lifestyles. Participants gain tools for rest, recovery, and mental stillness, which are benefits that extend well beyond the mat and into everyday resilience and wellbeing.
