The 62+ Program is an activity group where seniors can get together and socialize while enjoying a variety of different activities, offered more than 15 times per month, year-round! This program is a great way to explore the area and make new friends while staying active. Activities include local fairs, theater trips, concerts, museum visits, shopping trips, bowling, local walking trails, themed luncheons, guest speakers, holiday parties, arts and crafts, boat rides, and much more. Participants are able to drive to most of our activities or we can pick up residents right up at home with one of our mini buses. Registrations for activities take place bi-monthly. 9/01-Biddeford Shopping Trip
Join us for a fun-filled day of retail therapy in Biddeford! We’ll be hunting for treasures at Reny's, stopping by Target, and browsing deals at the L.L. Bean Outlet. Plus, we’ll take a break to enjoy a delicious, relaxing lunch at the 99 Restaurant.

9/03-Coffee Passport Trip
Join us for our new Coffee Passport trip as we explore the best local coffee shops all season long! Collect a stamp at every stop, and once you’ve earned 5, you’ll be treated to a special surprise prize at the end of the fall. It’s the perfect way to cozy up, enjoy great coffee, and share some laughs with friends—we can’t wait to see you there!

9/04- Tourist for the Day
Spend the day in OOB doing whatever you please! Go to the beach, ride the carousel, enjoy some pier fries, and stop at the candy store. Whatever you would like to do! Maybe even stop at the candy store for some salt water taffy.

9/09- Deering Oaks Farmers Market
Join us for a morning outing to the Portland Farmers Market at beautiful Deering Oaks Park! It’s the perfect chance to browse fresh, seasonal produce and local treats while soaking up the fresh air. Whether you're looking to pick up Maine honey, support our local farmers, or simply enjoy a lovely social stroll with friends, we’d love to have you. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for eligible seniors to use your Maine Senior FarmShare vouchers to stretch your food dollars even further! Don’t have a voucher yet? No worries they will help you sign up upon arrival.

9/10- Wind Down Summer
Join us and surrounding recreation departments as we gather to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. Think of summer vibes and fall vibes mixed together in food themes, decorations, fun, games and more! Lunch included.

9/11- Portland Mail Boat Cruise
All aboard! Join us for a scenic adventure on the iconic Portland Mail Boat Cruise. It’s the perfect way to take in the stunning views of Casco Bay while enjoying a relaxing day on the water. Don’t forget to pack a lunch to enjoy onboard as we cruise past lighthouses and islands—we can’t wait to have you along for this coastal escape!

9/14- Gilsland Farm Audubon Center
Join Naturalist Angela at Gilsland Farm in Falmouth. Binoculars will be brought so everyone can take a go at birding! We will walk the North and West Meadow which will be roughly 2 miles. Lunch will be at Bernie’s Foreside.
*Rating is Easy. The trail is pretty accessible for all, but slippery conditions may be present dependent on weather. Roots, crushed rock, rocks, and some elevation will be present.

Get ready to “Yack & Snack”! Make new friends, catch up with old ones and enjoy a laid back afternoon. Whether you want to play a game, do a craft or just sit and chat, this is the space to do so!

9/17- Thrifty Thursday
Get ready for Thrifty Thursday! Join us as we hit the road to scour local second-hand stores in search of hidden treasures. It’s the perfect day to hunt for unique finds, score some bargains, and enjoy a fun, social outing with great company. We can’t wait to see what kind of gems we discover together!

9/18- Age Friendly Fair
At this fair, you will find lots of useful information and resources. Come check out a wide variety of more than 40 vendors and service providers that focus on healthy aging, wellness & activity, home safety, mobility and balance. Free balance assessments, raffles and giveaways. Additionally, you will be able to try out some of the free and inexpensive activities that the SPCC Senior Program offers and tour the Senior Drop in Center.

9/22- PATHS Luncheon
Join us for lunch at the Portland Arts & Technology High School (PATHS)! This is a favorite outing for our 62+ group, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a freshly prepared meal while connecting with fellow community members. Come hungry and enjoy the great company—we would love to see you there!

9/23- Libby & Sons Apple Picking
Join us for a classic autumn tradition at Libby & Sons U-Picks! We’re heading to their beautiful orchard in Limerick for a day of fresh air and apple picking. Whether you're looking to fill a bag with your favorite varieties, enjoy the scenic views, or simply soak up the crisp fall atmosphere with friends, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season. Bring your comfortable shoes and get ready for a fun-filled day at the farm!

9/24-Odiome Park & Seacoast Science Center
Join Naturalist Angela at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, New Hampshire. We can visit both the Seacoast Science Center and walk the trails at the State Park. Lunch will be at the Kitchen in Portsmouth, NH.

9/25- Fort McKinley Tour
Step back in time with a fascinating tour of historic Fort McKinley on Great Diamond Island! We’ll explore the charm and history of this unique landmark, enjoying the scenic ferry ride over and the beautiful island atmosphere.
