Portland Youth Field Hockey

Portland Youth Field Hockey is designed to teach young players the essential skills, sportsmanship, and spirit of field hockey — all while having FUN! Whether your child is picking up a stick for the first time or already has some experience, our coaches create an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Required Equipment:

  • Field hockey stick
  • Mouthguard
  • Sneakers/cleats
  • Shin guards

Portland Youth Field Hockey - 2026

Practices:
Grades K-2- Thursdays, Sept 10, 17, 24, Oct 1,8, & 15 - 6-7PM
Grades 2-4 & 5-6 - Tuesdays, Sept 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct 6, & 13 AND Thursdays, Sept 10, 17, 24, Oct 1, 8, & 15 - 6-7PM

Note: 2nd grade has the option to sign up for K-2 or 2-4 depending on athletes experience and/or
preferred time commitment. K-2 practice 1/wk and 2-4 practice 2/wk. Please select the group you
would like to have your athlete participate in.

Practice Location:
Deering Oaks Parks, 61 Park Ave

Games/Tournaments:
Saturdays and/or Sundays - Time TBD

Fee:
K-2 - $110 res/$130 non-resident
2-4 - $145 res/$165 non-resident
5-6 - $145 res/$165 non-resident
Fee includes reversible pinnie
