*Due to instructor schedule challenges we, unfortunately, have canceled the Late Fall Saturday lessons.
In general, each lesson consists of 15 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of FUN! practice games. Skills are presented in a positive, playful manner. Participants are rewarded with a certificate upon completion of the session. For safety purposes, skate aides are NOT allowed on the ice. Complimentary rental skates are included with group lessons.
Class Prerequisites: Tots are 4-5 years old on or before the first day of class and have little to no skating experience. Protective helmets are MANDATORY (bike helmets are acceptable.) Students should be dressed warmly and bring mittens or gloves.
Class Curriculum: In this class, skaters are introduced to simple and attainable skills. Along with learning the proper way to fall and to recover from the fall (get back up!) and basic forward & backward movement, students will also learn how to march in a standing position and how to march while moving.
