For each level, individualized instruction is based on skill and comfort level, as well as group dynamics.Adult: BeginnerAges: 15 years and upMinimum Skill Requirements: None. This class can help teens or adults with minimal water experience to learn the basic skills to achieve a minimum level of water competency. Participants will work on the foundations of swimming such as swimming on front using combined arm and leg action, swimming on back using a combined arm and leg action, submerging head completely underwater, etc.Adult: IntermediateAges: 15 years and upMinimum Skill Requirements: Be able to swim at least 1 length of the pool (25 meters) with arm and leg action on front and back, along with demonstrating some rudimentary rotary breathing skills getting face wet. This class is for teens and adults who want to improve their foundational skills and swimming strokes to gain an overall level of comfort in the water. This class can help teens or adults with minimal water experience to learn the basic skills to achieve a minimum level of water competency. Participants will work on the foundations of swimming such as swimming on front using combined arm and leg action, swimming on back using a combined arm and leg action, submerging head completely underwater, etc.Adult: IntermediateAges: 15 years and upMinimum Skill Requirements: Be able to swim at least 1 length of the pool (25 meters) with arm and leg action on front and back, along with demonstrating some rudimentary rotary breathing skills getting face wet. Learn-to-Swim courses consist of a logical, six-level progression. Learn-to-Swim: Level 2Ages: 5 yrs 6 months - 14 years oldMinimum Skill Requirements: Demonstrate all completion requirements in Learn-To-Swim Level 1. They should be comfortable getting their face fully submerged when asked and be able to swim independently for about 15 feet or from the wall to the flags (a noodle may be used for longer distances).
