District Meetings - Childcare - District 3 Meeting- Rowe It is our goal to provide a safe, fun and positive experience for your child(ren). Please review the following policies before drop-off. General Policies
Children grades Kindergarten through 5th are welcome to stay in childcare.
Children must be picked up within 5 minutes of the meeting's end.
The same parent or guardian who signed the child in must sign the child out and present ID.
The guardian must remain within the building at all times while the child is in childcare. No exceptions.
Food, drinks and snacks are not allowed.
Please have your child use the restroom prior to drop-off.
Medication will not be allowed or administered by staff.
Toys from home including, electronic devices, are not allowed. The Portland Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department and its staff are not responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.
Shoes are required while visiting.
Sick Child Policy Please do not bring your child if your child has:
a fever of 99 or higher.
vomited within the past 24 hours.
had a watery stool in the past 24 hours.
a sore throat and/or swollen glands causing difficulty in swallowing.
a constant cough.
symptoms of a possible communicable disease (usually sniffles, red eyes, sore throat, headache, abdominal pain, fever, and/or skin spots, bumps, or patches)
Potential Parent NotificationsA parent/guardian may be contacted for the following reasons:
A child is exhibiting behaviors that are unsafe for themselves and/or others.
A child is not following instructions from staff.
A child is crying for more than 10 minutes.
Staff feels the child is sick.
Staff feels the child is in need of a parent.
**Please Note**The Portland Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department is not a licensed childcare facility in the State of Maine. Future childcare privileges may be revoked if the child or parent/guardian causes severe disruptions during participation.
